Wer war Pablo Picasso?

Pablo Picasso , geboren am 25. Oktober 1881 in Málaga, Spanien, gestorben am 8. April 1973 in der Provence, Frankreich, ist einer der berühmtesten Künstler der Welt. Er war enorm produktiv und hinterließ bei seinem Tod mehr als 13.000 Leinwände, 100.000 Lithographien, 34.000 Illustrationen und 300 Skulpturen. Er gilt zusammen mit Georges Braque als Begründer des Kubismus. Im Mai 2015 wurde Picassos Gemälde „Die Frauen von Algier“ für etwas mehr als 179 Millionen Dollar versteigert.
